"Silent Desert"

Our deserts, harsh but beautiful, with many evocative moods. Inspired by soft early morning light, strident mid-day sun and the soul lifting evenings, Joan evolved her latest dramatic series. Joan has captured the spiritual essence of her recent desert travels, using the actual desert ochres to provide the special depth and feeling found in these works.
